The Museu Valencià de la Il lustració i de la Modernitat has been part of the city of Valencia since 1995.
The architect Guillermo Vázquez Consuegra was in charge of the construction of the MuVIM, and it has been cataloged as one of the best examples of functionalist contemporary architecture in Valencia.
