Las Naves is the new center of social and urban innovation in the city of Valencia. A place in constant evolution that aims to take advantage of and encourage opportunities for knowledge, creativity, talent, science, research or technology, all of them focused on citizenship participation and entrepreneurship.

Within the complex that includes Las Naves, some other spaces are offered in which to experiment and grow in knowledge. Likewise, innovation and creativity events related to Valencia are organized here.

In 2020 they renewed both the visual identity and the space by the hand of Estudio Menta. Transmitting the influence of the initiatives carried out in Las Naves towards the neighborhoods and in the life of Valencian society are the DNA of this visual and spatial project.

Therefore, the values that were worked on both in the graphic identity and in the updating of the space were: dynamism, color, contemporaneity, closeness and adaptability. One of the key points in the facilities was the signage project. As Las Naves is made up of two adjoining buildings, clear signage was made so that visitors know where they are at all times. An intervention that demonstrates that ecosystem of social and urban innovation that happens in Las Naves.

Recently, the architecture and interior design laboratory, Viruta, has carried out the Voladera project to renovate the facilities of the complex’s old library. An ephemeral installation that is based on the involvement of Las Naves in activating the future of Valencian society for greater comfort and equality through its four-pronged system: public, private, academic/researcher and civil society. It has materialized with paper pinwheels that act as an umbrella, to contain under them, the different activities that take place in the space.
